"No one will really understand politics until they understand that politicians are not trying to solve our problems. They are trying to solve their own problems — of which getting elected and re-elected are number one and number two. Whatever is number three is far behind." Thomas Sowell

Remember that the law for ObamaCare was not written when it was passed. In otherwords, Congress passed an unwritten law – there was only a skeleton outline, no insides, no guts. The guts and skin are being added by Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius daily. [As I have warned repeatedly,] she has the full and complete authority to write the organs of the law – the important part, and neither Congress, you or I can do a thing about it. In this case, the children’s skeleton was written sloppily, unclearly…there is no mandate that your child be covered, or that your employer cover dependents.  http://www.maggiesnotebook.com/2013/02/obamacare-kids-not-covered-irs-says-no-mandate-for-employer-dependent-coverage/

According to a press release by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development:
People in the United States spend about 70% of their time in a home. Currently, millions of U.S. homes have moderate to severe physical housing problems, including dilapidated structure; roofing problems; heating, plumbing, and electrical deficiencies; water leaks and intrusion; pests; damaged paint; and high radon gas levels. These conditions are associated with a wide range of health issues, including unintentional injuries, respiratory illnesses like asthma and radon-induced lung cancer, lead poisoning, result in lost school days for children, as well as lost productivity in the labor force. The health and economic burdens from preventable hazards associated with the home are considerable, and cost billions of dollars.
TheStrategy for Action unifies, for the first time, federal action to advance healthy housing, demonstrating the connection between housing conditions and residents’ health. It also promotes strategies and methods intended to reduce in-home health hazards in a cost-effective manner.
HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan said, ““It is clear that unhealthy and unsafe housing has an impact on the health of millions of people in the United States, which is why we must do everything we can to ensure that individuals and families have a healthy place to call home. Today’s announcement will help the federal government unify action to controlling and preventing major housing-related exposures and hazards.”
Goals One and Two: Establish and Encourage Adoption of Federally-Recognized Criteria for
Healthy Homes. The Strategy for Action calls upon federal agencies to develop consensus on the
basic concept of a healthy home – building off eight characteristics, including dry, clean, pest free,
safe, contaminant free, well ventilated, and well maintained and thermally controlled – and
encourage adoption of this consensus across federal agencies, tribal governments, state and local
governments, and non-governmental organizations.
Goal Three: Create and Support Training and Workforce Development to Address Health Hazards
in Housing. Building a cadre of trained experts that deliver healthy homes services, including
weatherization and retrofitting in neighborhood homes is at the core of the Strategy. The plan
includes leveraging existing workforce development efforts, such as Department of Labor’s
efforts in training workers for, and connecting workers to, jobs in a clean energy economy and
green construction.
Goal Four: Educate the Public about Healthy Homes. The Strategy promotes adoption of a public
communications campaign to help people connect the dots between their health and their home.
Goal Five: Support Research that Informs and Advances Healthy Housing in a Cost-Effective
Manner. The Strategy identifies areas in which rigorous healthy homes research is needed to help
federal, state, and local stakeholders enhance their decision-making in a cost-effective manner and
reduce actions that have unintended consequences.
[Okay - I declare that they have finally just lost their minds.  This is an unbelievable and unattainable program using hard working Americans' money to transfer wealth to home owners and renters.]

Aaron Klein WND 02-12-13 With almost no media coverage, the White House lastweek announced its new Interagency Working Group to Counter Online Radicalization to Violence that will target not only Islamic terrorists but so-called violent “sovereign citizens.” (That’s US) rcThe FBI defines “sovereign citizens” as “anti-government extremists who believe that even though they physically reside in this country, they are separate or ‘sovereign’ from the United States.”

President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address included few new or unexpected proposals, but many factually incorrect or misleading assertions. Here are the lowlights.

“Corporate profits have rocketed to all-time highs – but for more than a decade, wages and incomes have barely budged.” Wages and incomes may not always be the best measurement, because they leave out benefits, which have increased overall compensation over several decades. Regardless, Obama chose his timeframe carefully, because over the past four years, middle class income has actually declined.

By January 2014, all employers with 50 or more employees (who work 30 or more hours a week) will have to provide dramatically more expensive health insurance to their employees, or pay a $2,000 penalty per employee for dropping/not insuring them.  Considering that the average family plan at large companies already costs nearly $16,000 a year per employee, it is obvious that many if not most companies will do what the unions who supported this idiotic law are already threatening to do: dump the employees on the government-subsidized state exchanges.

Former Bush administration ethics attorneys are raising concerns over the close relationship between a pro-Obama dark money group and the White House.
Such an arrangement under President George W. Bush, they say, would have alarmed them.

“Some of this fundraising could start to border something that looks very much like soliciting a bribe, when a government official is going out there and asking people to contribute to a private organization,” Painter said.

Also worrying was the fact that internal watchdogs do not appear to be raising alarms, Painter said.

Everything in this column will be established by logical proof, as in geometry. There will be no name calling, or mere assertion.

You probably heard again last night that President Obama still thinks “the rich,” a crass term implying low class social envy, do not pay their “fair share.” He has been barnstorming America saying precisely that for his more than four years in office now. But the indisputable facts from official government sources say otherwise.

Internal Revenue Service (IRS) data, compiled from income tax returns, as reported by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) shows that in 2009 the top 1% of income earners paid 39% of all federal income taxes. That was three times their share of national income at 13%. It was also more than double the 17.6% of federal individual income taxes paid by the top 1% when President Reagan entered office in 1981, and all the historic tax rate cutting began.

Liberals continue their hysteria over remarks made by Dr. Ben Carson at the National Prayer Breakfast last week. Carson, a prominent pediatric surgeon from Johns Hopkins University, dared to weigh in on healthcare — something he knows something about, and certainly knows better than Barack Obama. In the liberal mind, Carson committed a grave transgression; he had dared to disagree with Obama, and in Obama’s presence.
