The deterioration of every government begins with the decay of the principles on which it was founded.— Charles-Louis De Secondat
But like with all of his other failed policies, Barack Obama declared that he will just keep on doing them all.
If Congress
won’t act soon on
climate change, the president said, he will. This was a threat. Plain and
simple. A threat to override the Constitution, sideline the Congress, and
ignore the will of the American people.
Obama called for the federal government to “redesign high
schools.”
Does he not know that schools are creatures of local and
state, not the federal, governments? Does he care? Does he see no limits at all
on the things that should occupy a president’s time?
And again, on what basis does the president who cannot
even submit a budget make the claim that he is qualified to redesign high
schools?
It’s all absurd. Barack Obama is the absurd president. He
makes no attempt to make any sense, yet the media will pretend that he is a
visionary.
Another case in point: Obama railed against any American
having to spend three hours to vote,
saying that it “betrays our ideals.” But he and his Justice Department militate
against voter ID. So voter fraud does not “betray our ideals,” but having to
wait in line because of healthy voter turnout does? How does this even make any
sense, other than as political statements devoid of logic and depraved of any
understanding of right and wrong?
America, you were warned but you re-elected him
anyway. And that’s the state of our union. http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2013/02/12/the-state-of-our-union-rendered-in-a-fractured-bizarro-lens/?singlepage=true-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hollywood
kills Tea Partiers, Christians in movie 'God Bless America' trailer
"Taking out the trash, one jerk at a time,"
reads the tag line at magnetreleasing.com.
Got that? According to Hollywood,
Christians and conservatives are "trash" that must be "taken
out."
A dark comedy, indeed - because it seems that murdering
conservatives apparently is what's
considered funny in Hollywood these days.

Brigitte Gabriel, one of the world’s leading experts on
Islamic extremism, said over the weekend
that there will be new information to come out on the Benghazi attack
that will leave people “amazed and shocked” when they finally hear it.
“As someone working with the
intelligence community…more information is going to come
out regarding the Benghazi attack that will really leave people amazed and
shocked how we have been — on how we are
defending the country,” Gabriel said on Fox News.During the interview, Gabriel
discussed everything from the yet-to-be-released information that will leave
people “amazed and shocked,” to reports that U.S. Ambassador Christopher
Stevens was involved in a “gun-running” operation before he was killed.

My friends, there is hope. Law enforcement officers at the local level are making their stand and they want you to be a part of that. While I’ve written on various sheriffs that have made their own stance to protect their citizens from anyone attempting to confiscate guns, I recently ran across Police Chief Mark Kessler of the Gilberton Borough Police Department in Pennsylvania. He wants citizens to join with his police department in building a “reserve force” that will aid his police force should the need arise to resist Federal authorities when it comes to the Second Amendment.
I spoke with Chief Kessler and he is most definitely a patriot and a Constitutionalist. The police force is quite small in his town and, much like my own town, criminal activity is not rampant.

As we watch the lawmakers scramble to make new laws to restrict our ability to defend ourselves and our families, it becomes clear that there are few politicians representing the people or the Constitution in this manner. Despite abundantly clear Second Amendment's restrictions, the politicians seem to not care. The politicians have learned from recent history that any controversy over their current actions will blow over and be replaced by the latest pop scandal in the press by election time. Furthermore, they know that litigation against their illegal laws will take years and perhaps even decades. To bolster their point they sponsor polls and tinker with the numbers counting on people to not understand what the famed historian Alexis de Tocqueville called the "Tyranny of the Majority." The sad fact is that the politicians know they will always have their armed security and so depriving the American people of theirs is a small matter to them.

Taxes have been in the news of late even more than usual, and not only in America. France's new socialist president has proposed a 75 percent top tax rate, causing the investor class to seek sunnier tax climes than dreary old Gaul. Actor Gerard Depardieu took up residence in Belgium, while former French President Sarkozy plans to move to jolly old England.
Citizens of the United States, however, can't just absquatulate to some foreign country to avoid taxes. You see, the U.S. is the only major nation that taxes its non-resident citizens on income they earn abroad (see chart).
Consequently, there's been a rash of Americans lately who have been renouncing their citizenship just to escape high tax rates. One notable ex-citizen is Eduardo Saverin, a big shot at Facebook, who recently became a citizen of Singapore. (If you're thinking about defecting, read this article at the Wall Street Journal by Laura Saunders.)

After reviewing FY 2012 on a case-case-by-case basis to appease a portion of the oversight letter, DHS explained that they found just one case of an immigrant being brought up on public charge grounds. The charge was later withdrawn.
According to the Federal Register, deportations of immigrants due to becoming public charges after entry are relatively rare due to exemptions and legal burdens on the federal government.

Why is it that after over eleven years of combat in Afghanistan and Iraq that the Senate Intelligence Committee will swallow the story that no forces were available in adequate time and distance to relieve Benghazi? To begin with, why wasn’t some high ranking White House or Pentagon official on the phone to commercial airlines serving Spain to see who could aid in the mission by redirecting existing transport so the Marine FAST team could be wheels-up in minimal time if no military air assets were available? The concept of chartering or even commandeering available U.S. civilian transport has been in existence since the days of General Washington. When faced with a military crisis, such actions have considerable precedent.

Mr. President, perhaps amidst the merriment surrounding the inaugural festivities you misremembered your oath. Sir, you solemnly swore “to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution.” But these few weeks hence, your State of the Union speech essentially disavowed America’s cherished founding charter.

An official with the Federal Aviation Administration reassured the public Wednesday that no armed drones will be permitted in U.S. airspace, but he acknowledged the agency can do little about privacy fears associated with the unmanned craft.
In an address to the drone-industry’s leading trade group, which is meeting this week in Northern Virginia, Jim Williams said existing rules already bar aircraft from using weapons and “we don’t have any plans of changing [those rules] for unmanned aircraft.”
“We currently have rules in the books that deal with releasing anything from an aircraft, period. Those rules are in place and that would prohibit weapons from being installed on a civil aircraft,” said Mr. Williams, who heads the FAA's Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration Office, formed last year to shepherd drones into already-crowded American skies and integrate drone use with the manned-aircraft system.
