The wealth of the country, its capital, its credit, must be saved from the predatory poor as well as the predatory rich, but above all from the predatory politician.— James J. Hill

[This, from Richard Cordray, another illegal appointee of Obama's, named when Congress was NOT in recess....]  The U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is weighing whether it should take on a role in helping Americans manage the $19.4 trillion they have put into retirement savings, a move that would be the agency’s first foray into consumer investments.
“That’s one of the things we’ve been exploring and are interested in in terms of whether and what authority we have,” bureau director Richard Cordray said in an interview. He didn’t provide additional details. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-01-18/retirement-savings-accounts-draw-u-s-consumer-bureau-attention.html

After ponying up a $100 fee for the ability to raise money for the nationwide Wounded Warrior Project, staff members of Liberty Baptist Church and Academy in Florida were stunned to receive an email declining their effort.
Claiming the group could not accept donations from the fundraiser described as “religious in nature,” the WWP passed up funding needed to provide outreach services as well as the chance for students in the school to feel the joy of helping out the organization. According to the pastor, organizers expected to collect up to $50,000 for the group, noting he was forced to break the news to his congregation in “one of the saddest letters I have ever had to write.”http://www.westernjournalism.com/veteran-organization-refuses-christian-schools-donation/

A Florida television station reported recently that the well-known veterans’ charity, The Wounded Warrior Project, had refused to take a donation of money collected by children at a Baptist school and funds from a planned special church collection. This is an emotional story, but that cannot be avoided when someone turns down a patriotic gift from grade school children and their parent to wounded American soldiers. WPTV in Florida broadcast a video at the station’s website, along with a text story which told of a church donation of up to $50,000 being initially refused.

Saudi Arabia’s ambassador in Jordan, Fahad bin Abdul Mohsen al-Zaid, admitted that the Saudis residing in Syria are supporting and collaborating with armed terrorist groups in Syria, orchestrated from abroad, to fight against President Bashar al-Assad.
In this regard, the representative of Saudi authorities in Jordan in an interview with the newspaper Al-Hayat, a leading pan-Arab daily reported Monday that since the beginning of the Syrian crisis, some 2,500 Saudis have entered the Arab country.

At least Karl Rove and company are finally out front with their disdain for the conservative movement, and I am thankful for it. The battle lines are finally drawn, and conservatives should look at the New York Times article as our Lexington and Concord. This battle will be a long, hard slog against the establishment. Just this week, a Rove henchman attacked conservative leader Brent Bozell. But we will prevail, because we actually believe in core principles and a cause greater than our egos and money.

When given the opportunity to rebut the sharp criticism leveled Tuesday by Brent Bozell directed at Karl Rove, Jonathan Collegio of Rove's American Crossroads might have made things worse, if not personal. "Bozell is a hater and he also has a long sordid history hating Karl Rove. He has weird personal axes to grind," said the spokesman for Rove's influential Super PAC.

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says that while Iran is already a nuclear state, it has no intention of attacking Israel. Ahmadinejad was interviewed on the eve of his visit to Cairo, where he will attend the 12th Islamic Summit Conference, due to open there on Wednesday.

Remember when the first Stuxnet story broke, a story most of were gleeful about and knew in our hearts Israel had winged it's bug to Iran's computer system and managed to do major damage. Then came the second Stuxnet story - the Obama story, leaked of course, that the U.S. was taking credit for a major part in the assault. Now comes the issue of impeachment. While we often notice that Obama has failed his oath of office over and over, he has also failed to protect his Constitutional obligation to take "Care" that "laws be faithfully executed." Notice that the word "Care" is capitalized in Article 2, Section 3 (more below). The Washington Post in January 2013 ran a story saying Eric Holder was looking into the leaks. Did Obama use Stuxnet to help Obama's 2012 election chances to the detriment of national intelligence for both the U.S. and Israel?

Exercising a power that no prior president ever thought he possessed -- a power that no prior president is known to have exercised -- President Obama admitted that he ordered the execution of American citizens, not on a battlefield, based on his belief that they were involved in terrorist activities.  It is known that at least three U.S. citizens, including a 16-year old boy, were killed on the president's order in drone strikes in Yemen in 2011.
These nameless lawyers have also ignored the Justice Department's own venerable precedents.  The White Paper relies on the "laws of war" -- but laws of war do not control here.  On August 21, 1798, U.S. Attorney General Charles Lee -- serving under President John Adams -- directed to the U.S. secretary of state an official opinion in which he determined that in the undeclared state of war between France and the United States, "France is our enemy; and to aid, assist, and abet that nation in her maritime warfare, will be treason in a citizen[, who] may be tried and punished according to our laws[, not like a French subject, who must be] treated according to the laws of war."
(I have some conflicting thoughts on this topic as terrorism is much more sophisticated than it was years ago)

The Congress votes on restricting the size of ammunition magazines, expanding controls over who can buy guns, and limiting the types of guns that citizens can buy, even though the Constitution expressly forbids them from passing any such laws.
The EPA director uses a false email identity to hide her communications from public scrutiny. An entire network of three-letter agencies takes over Congressional functions and operates outside of Constitutional bounds as unaccountable lawmakers, enforcers, and judges in every area of life.
The president decides he doesn't care for certain laws and therefore won't enforce them, even though that is his job. He demands that private companies obey his wishes, and attacks those who don't.

More than seven years after Hurricane Katrina devastated the city of New Orleans, federal grant funds marked for a nature center in the city have yet to be spent, leading federal watchdogs to recommend the revocation of some of those funds.
