Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world: indeed it’s the only thing that ever has! — Margaret Meade

"Why didn't you put forces in place to be ready to respond?," Senator John McCain asked the general.
Dempsey started, "Because we never received a request to do so, number one. And number two, we --"
McCain interrupted, "You never heard of Ambassador Stevens's repeated warnings?"
"I had, through General Ham," responded Dempsey, referring to the commander of AFRICOM. "But we never received a request for support from the State Department, which would have allowed us to put forces--" http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/general-benghazi-we-never-received-request-support-state-department_700403.html

You can't make this stuff up!  But you DO need to know about this country. Notice that this comes from CNN.]
Four students today got suspended from Adolfo Camarillo High School for wearing their American Flag Headbands to the basketball game. The administrators said it could be viewed as "offensive" and they were asked to leave. After they stood outside in protest of the administrators, with pride for their country, they decided to run back into the game and the whole crowd began to shout "USA! USA!" In honor of the students. Then the students were forced out of the gym, suspended for five days, and not allowed back on school grounds.  http://ireport.cnn.com/docs/DOC-921853

As an ex-Los Angeles police officer killed three people and went on a deadly shooting rampage in a vendetta to punish those he attributed for his firing, California Senators Dianne Feinstein and Barbara Boxer pleaded for calm, and asked both law enforcement and civilians to lay down their weapons.
Throughout the day, Senators Feinstein and Boxer made desperate pleas for their California constituents to turn in their guns and not confront the crazed gunman because this would be a perfect test of their anti-gun proposals.

“The Senators feel the best course of action is to remove all weapons from law enforcement and private citizens so no one else gets hurt,” said a Senate communications intern. “When the gunman realizes that nobody else is armed, he will lay down his weapons and turn himself in…. that’s just human nature.” [Seriously? Someone can actually believe this?] http://www.palookavillepost.com/2013/02/07/feinstein-and-boxer-ask-californians-to-lay-down-their-weapons-during-statewide-manhunt/

There is a report out that suggests that at least 100 Islamic terrorist have infiltrated our military, but Allen West says we shouldn’t be surprised as this is part of a much larger cultural stealth Jihad: http://www.therightscoop.com/military-infiltration-by-islamic-terrorists-all-part-of-a-bigger-stealth-jihad/

Does public opinion matter? Absolutely. Government an inherently unstable situation becuse they are few and we are many. The real question is not why revolutions happen but why isn’t there a revolution every day? What is it that keeps these guys in power, aside from the threat of violence? There has to be more to it.

David Hume, in his First Principles of Government, argued that it is public opinion that keeps the racket going. That is a more important thing than violence or guns. It is what people believe about themselves and their government that is the key. Without it, government would collapse. And we see this in history. The precondition for every revolution is the lack of belief in the system that governs them.

The government has strong interest in shoring up public opinion.

According to Hoppe, it does this through the control of four institutions:
education
communication
money
security

America has fast descended into a police state. The trouble is that we want to believe in the rule of law and the system that alleges to support and enforce it. But when reality collides with illusion, it is too late. No matter how bad things seem, we always think that times will get better and that government will do the right thing.

Only a few people left Germany in the early 1930s. They could clearly see the evolving tyranny. Many who stayed thought that things would not get so bad or that times would get better. They suffered from normalcy bias, a form of cognitive dissonance. They paid.

This was the sheriff’s 61st such sweep. In the previous 60 employer sanctions/identity theft operations, 100% of all suspects found to be committing identity theft to gain employment were illegal aliens. Sheriff Joe’s office has investigated, arrested on the streets and in the jails over 79,000 illegal aliens.

“Illegal aliens are stealing identities of U.S. citizens to gain employment which escalates our unemployment problems. I don’t believe we should tolerate this. Furthermore, I will continue to enforce all federal and state illegal immigration laws in the business sector through human smuggling and crime suppression operations, despite activists and the federal government who may not like it,” said the Sheriff.

There is not yet indication whether some of the illegal aliens were using the social security numbers of dead persons, as has happened many times in the past, including ones of murder victims.

John Brennan, President Obama’s nominee to head to the CIA, is scheduled to appear before a closed-door hearing held by the Senate Intelligence Committee tomorrow. Interested senators should take the opportunity to ask Brennan about an Egyptian who is connected to both al Qaeda and the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya. Intriguing revelations by the Egyptian press last week raise all new questions about the attack on the U.S. consulate.

  1. I admit I was tricked. It was easy to believe that Feinstein and Boxer were just so crazy as to ask people to give up their guns. There is now some question as to whether the Palookaville Post was posting satire, but I hear that is not their normal thing to do....
