The strength of the Constitution lies entirely in the determination of each citizen to defend it. Only if every single citizen feels duty bound to do his share in this defense are the constitutional rights secure. — Albert Einstein

Obama creates the problem, he then claims the evil Republicans will destroy the nation, but it is Obama who is made to appear though he has all the answers to this problem, thus completing the pyramid. One little problem here though, it Has to work as planned or Obama is the one that comes out in a very bad light since it is the very problem he created. Once the people wake up, they may see the man for what he truly is, a Marxist of old!

How can we even make such a statement? It is because Obama himself acknowledges that his own father was a Communist!
In his 1995 memoir Dreams from My Father, Barack Obama, Jr. describes his mother as “a lonely witness for secular humanism, a soldier for New Deal, Peace Corps, position-paper liberalism.” His father was a communist who had left his rural Luo-speaking village and his own Muslim father to become an “agnostic” and study economics abroad.

MSNBC’s Chuck Todd criticized Monday the new fundraising efforts of President Obama’s dark money group, Organizing for Action, calling a scheme for high donors to meet regularly with Obama “the definition of selling access.”

Todd was describing the quarterly meetings that will be enjoyed by OFA’s $500,000 donors, the New York Times reported over the weekend:

But those contributions will also translate into access, according to donors courted by the president’s aides. Next month, Organizing for Action will hold a “founders summit” at a hotel near the White House, where donors paying $50,000 each will mingle with Mr. Obama’s former campaign manager, Jim Messina, and Mr. Carson, who previously led the White House Office of Public Engagement.

Giving or raising $500,000 or more puts donors on a national advisory board for Mr. Obama’s group and the privilege of attending quarterly meetings with the president, along with other meetings at the White House. Moreover, the new cash demands on Mr. Obama’s top donors and bundlers come as many of them are angling for appointments to administration jobs or ambassadorships.

Nanny Bloomberg unleashes his ban on large sodas on March 12 — and there are some nasty surprises lurking for hardworking families.
Say goodbye to that 2-liter bottle of Coke with your pizza delivery, pitchers of soft drinks at your kid’s birthday party and some bottle-service mixers at your favorite nightclub.
They’d violate Mayor Bloomberg’s new rules, which prohibit eateries from serving or selling sugary drinks in containers larger than 16 ounces.
Bloomberg’s soda smackdown follows his attacks on salt, sugar, trans fat, smoking and even baby formula. http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/soda_ban_to_sap_your_4t5pEK0hvo3PoNZEBOdZ2L

The National Rifle Association has obtained a Department of Justice memo calling for national gun registration and confiscation. The nine page “cursory summary” on current gun control initiatives was not officially released by the Obama administration.
The DOJ memo (downloadable here as a PDF) states the administration “believes that a gun ban will not work without mandatory gun confiscation,” according to the NRA, and thinks universal background checks “won’t work without requiring national gun registration.” Obama has yet to publicly support national registration or firearms confiscation, although the memo reveals his administration is moving in that direction. http://redflagnews.com/headlines/doj-memo-outlaw-and-confiscate-all-guns

North Carolina’s Civitas Institute has revealed that the North Carolina State Board of Elections and the Obama campaign conspired to register at least 11,000 people via the internet in violation of state law. This has been confirmed through records requests filed with all of North Carolina’s 100 counties. The counting is not yet complete.
North Carolina does not allow online voting, but according to Civitas, SBE staff authorized an Obama campaign website, Gottaregister.com, to use a web-based registration program. The SBE’s chief lawyer responded to the charge with a plainly disingenuous 1984-newspeak answer: https://usjf.net/2013/02/breaking-obama-campaign-caught-in-major-nc-vote-fraud-scheme/

Students made to wear burqas in U.S. state

Muslim garb taught as alternative dress – not oppressive to women

Written by John Griffing, ,Reposted from sharia unveiled

There’s a new controversy in Texas involving the online public school curriculum called CSCOPE, which already has been the subject of heated debate and state legislative hearings.

There are reports now that students were made to wear Muslim burqas as part of their public school lessons.

CSCOPE has been facing criticism over its alleged Islamic and anti-American bias. It is a “curriculum management system” now used in 80 percent of Texas classrooms – and recently was the subject of a heated inquiry that culminated in hearings conducted by the Texas Senate Education Committee chaired by Sen. Dan Patrick, R-Houston.

However, in Lumberton, Texas, this week, high school girls were made to wear burqas as part of a CSCOPE study of Islam.

One student quoted the teacher as saying, “We are going to work to change your perception of Islam.”

The teacher in the burqa lesson, according to a student, also said, “I do not necessarily agree with this, but I am supposed to teach you that we are not to call these people terrorists anymore, but freedom fighters.”

Critics argue that this should not be a teacher’s role, and are concerned that CSCOPE curriculum appears agenda-driven.

According to a student in the class, the lesson was to teach about the life of women in Islam. The burqa exercise focused on fashion and did not include the fact that to be in public without a burqa in many Muslim countries is punishable by death.

At the end of class, the students were assigned to write a paper about Egypt. According to one student, they were instructed to discuss “how Egypt was a good country until democracy took over, and that things were finally corrected when the Muslim brotherhood came into power.”

Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) exploded at Fox News host Sean Hannity Tuesday night in a discussion of President Barack Obama's rhetoric regarding the impending sequester.

President Obama's greatest strategic accomplishment during his first term was his recruitment of big business to join the existing collection of special interest groups within the Democratic Party.

The national impact of Obama's collusion with big business can't be overlooked. Big business helped deliver his biggest political achievement, ObamaCare, and it recently contributed to his victories with the fiscal cliff negotiations and the temporary extension of the debt ceiling.

The addition of huge corporate lobbying infrastructures to the existing left-wing coalition of unions, environmental activists, minority and feminist interest groups will fundamentally transform the special interest lobbying force in Washington. And as long as big business can profit from an expanding government, CEOs representing many corporations will support the progressive agenda of increased spending and government control over individual lives.

Last November, President Obama rallied leaders of big business to pressure Republicans to support his plan to avoid the fiscal cliff. After meeting with Obama's key big business allies, General Electric CEO Jeff Immelt became a visible spokesperson for his goal of raising taxes.

Yet another top Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) official used a personal email address to conduct government business, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) disclosures reveal.

EPA Region 9 administrator Jared Blumenfeld used his personal Comcast email account to send a news article to former EPA administrator Lisa Jackson’s secret “Richard Windsor” email account.

The email was discovered within a tranche of thousands of emails from Jackson’s alias email account disclosed by the EPA earlier this month in response to a FOIA request by the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI).

Several congressional committees and watchdog groups say Jackson’s secret “Richard Windsor” account may violate federal records law and runs contrary to the spirit of open government.- See more at: http://freebeacon.com/windsor-knot-tightens/#sthash.es8yvpJQ.dpuf

The paint flakes off the walls, and white chips dot the floor and stairwells. The stairs’ railing is caked in grime while the radiator in the bathroom sits cockeyed, unconnected from any heating system. A light fixture lies on the floor beside an old water fountain. And the United States Department of Agriculture owns it all.

This building, which sits on a 5,000-acre property near Washington, D.C., is just one example of the many dilapidated, vacant, or underused properties the federal government owns that a House subcommittee will discuss on Wednesday.- See more at: http://freebeacon.com/uncle-sam-slum-lord/#sthash.SQLDP98Y.dpuf

An Illinois father wants a school district to reconsider its dress code after his son was asked to remove a U.S. Marines T-shirt or be suspended, FoxNews.com has learned.
Daniel McIntyre, 44, of Genoa, told FoxNews.com that his 14-year-old son, Michael, was asked to remove the T-shirt by eighth-grade teacher Karen Deverell during reading class at Genoa-Kingston Middle School on Monday. Deverell, citing the school’s dress code, said the garment’s interlocking rifles was problematic and had to be removed from sight, McIntyre said.
“My son is very proud of the Marines, and, in fact, of all the services,” McIntyre said. “So he wears it with pride. There are two rifles crossed underneath the word ‘Marines’ on the shirt, but to me that should be overlooked. It’s more about the Marines instead of the rifles.”

ABC is defending its decision to edit out an apparently erroneous claim by Michelle Obama in its broadcast of the first lady’s interview on Good Morning America today, saying it made the changes “solely” for the sake of time.
As The Washington Examiner reported this morning, the first lady claimed during an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts that 15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton, who was killed in Chicago shortly after performing during the President’s Inauguration, was shot because “some kids had some automatic weapons they didn’t need.”
In fact, Chicago Police reported Pendleton was shot by a man who “opened fire with a handgun before fleeing in a waiting car,” according to the Associated Press.

“Despite a voluminous and often fervent literature on "income distribution," the cold fact is that most income is not distributed: It is earned.”
― Thomas Sowell

The United States federal government has approved the export of tear gas to the Muslim Brotherhood-controlled government of Egypt, the State Department stated Monday.

A reporter asked Deputy Spokesman Patrick Ventrell about the sale of tear gas canisters from a U.S. manufacturer at a midday press conference, and Ventrell confirmed the State Department had authorized the deal in question.

At the beginning of the year, President Barack Obama's new 501(c)4 political nonprofit, Organizing For Action, was launched with all the usual bells and whistles. But the tech wizards at OFA forgot one important rule in today's Internet world: Register all the iterations of your website address before someone else does.

Now Obama's team is filing complaints against the folks smart enough to get the addresses before he did.

As Obama's OFA made its debut, no one in his purportedly Internet-savvy campaign had obtained the corresponding .com, .net, .org or .us sites, nor did OFA register other names that are close to its official one, as is the sensible practice. In the case of the .net address, a fellow named Derek Bovard had already registered the .net address by the time Obama's team took notice.

According to Pew Research, if you’re an American 35 or older, your assets have plummeted 22 percent since 2007.

In 2007, assets for those 35 and older were estimated at an average of $293,968, but by 2010 that number had dropped to $230,018. That decrease in value is attributed to consistently high unemployment, the drop in the housing market, and Barack Obama’s inability to fix the American economy. The 1.22 debt-to-income ratio of those 35 and older is now higher than it has been for thirty years

The question now arises of whether John Brennan, adviser to the President on counterterrorism and homeland security, and presumptive incoming head of the CIA, is sufficiently robust on the issue in view of his ambiguous or ambivalent statements in the past. One such statement was made in 2006 on C Span when he asserted that Hezb'allah should not be understood as an evil force, but as a very complex organization that had a terrorist arm to it but also a social and political nature. Another was his statement in August 2009 in Washington that Hezb'allah had a terrorist core but "a lot of Hezb'allah individuals are in fact renouncing that type of terrorism and violence." In May 2010, after Brennan had visited Lebanon, he was quoted as saying that Hezb'allah had "moderate elements" and that President Obama should help build these up.
There has in fact been a noticeable difference between the present American administration and its predecessor. During the Bush administration annual reports always included a statement that Hezb'allah was responsible for more American deaths than any other terrorist group. From the start of the Obama administration this statement was omitted from the reports.

The most frustrating aspect of the continuing verbal marathon about guns and gun control is that no one is talking about the real cause of our continuing problem with mass, meaningless murder.
That means no one is talking about real solutions that will have real results.
Instead, we are once again talking about disarming law-abiding citizens, or (more accurately) pushing government deeper into our lives by diluting the only document on the planet -- the U. S. Constitution -- that protects humans from tyranny.
Take away guns and you still have violence. But take away our Constitution and you empower tyrants, both illegal and legal, who will have plenty of guns whether they are banned or not.
So, why are we spending so much time talking about a non-solution to such a serious problem?

Here is one thing that Obama should do to elevate America’s public discourse: Stop lying.
Obama has been caught red-handed lying about the sequester, the $85 billion in automatic budget cuts that commence Friday, unless Congress panics and scuttles this 2.4 percent reduction in Washington’s heroin-strength spending addiction.
“The sequester is not something that I’ve proposed,” Obama said in his October 22, 2012, debate with GOP nominee Mitt Romney. “It is something that Congress has proposed.”
“Congress didn’t compromise,” Obama whined on February 19. “They haven’t come together and done their jobs, and so as a consequence, we’ve got these automatic, brutal spending cuts that are poised to happen next Friday.”
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MUCH OF WHAT President Obama hopes to accomplish in his second term would tap into what’s known as the “discretionary budget” — money not already claimed by entitlement programs such as Medicare and Social Security. But the discretionary budget itself is about tapped out, squeezed by the growth of entitlement spending. That’s what makes the minimal presidential leadership on entitlement reform so baffling.

This week Washington is having a stupid fight over a stupid budget issue. The so-called sequestration of $85 billion in federal spending would weaken the economy just as an increase in the payroll tax appears to be giving consumers pause. It would force the government to make mindless cuts across the board, instead of allowing reasoned choices. According to Mr. Obama’s senior military advisers, it would endanger national security. Yet nobody seems inclined to prevent it.

John Stuart Mill's classic essay "On Liberty" gives reasons why some people should not be taking over other people's decisions about their own lives.

But Professor Cass Sunstein of Harvard has given reasons to the contrary. He cites research showing "that people make a lot of mistakes, and that those mistakes can prove extremely damaging."

Sunstein is undoubtedly correct that "people make a lot of mistakes."

Most of us can look back over our own lives and see many mistakes, including some that were very damaging.

What Sunstein does not tell us is what sort of creatures, other than people, are going to override our mistaken decisions for us. That is the key flaw in the theory and agenda of the left.

BEIJING — Beijing hotly denies accusations of official involvement in massive cyberattacks against foreign targets, insinuating such activity is the work of rogues. But at least one piece of evidence cited by experts points to professional cyberspies: China’s hackers don’t work weekends.

Accusations of state-sanctioned hacking took center stage this past week following a detailed report by a U.S.-based Internet security firm Mandiant. It added to growing suspicions that the Chinese military is not only stealing national defense secrets and harassing dissidents but also pilfering information from foreign companies that could be worth millions or even billions of dollars.

“When governments fear the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.” – Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826), US Founding Father, drafted the Declaration of Independence, 3rd US President

Oregon is the latest state to draft legislation that putsmajor restrictions on the 2nd Amendment. House Bill 3200’s summary states the “crime of unlawful possession or transfer of assault weapon or large capacity magazine” is punishable “by maximum penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment, $250,000 fine, or both.”
The entire first part of the bill tries to define an assault weapon. The definition will hinge upon one or more of the items in a list of cosmetic additions. Some examples include, “a shroud attached to the barrel, or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel.” Somehow that cosmetic addition makes a gun an assault weapon.

SOME TRUTHS ABOUT GUN CONTROL
“Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority. Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew’s possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation. Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions will be punished with imprisonment and a fine.” – Nazi Law (Regulations Against Jews’ Possession of Weapons), 1938

“Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the act of depriving a whole nation of arms, as the blackest.” – Mahatma Gandhi, in Gandhi, An Autobiography, p. 446

The American left (Socialists/Progressives) are elated. Finally, there is a new god in town, and it ain't the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and our Founding Fathers. Is the left's jubilation justified? Do a majority of Americans now look to Obama/government to supply all their needs, including deciding who lives and who dies (death panels buried in ObamaCare), rather than the God on which our country was founded?

President Obama's recent stumping for a federal preschool initiative has promised a lot to America. In his State of the Union speech, he spoke of making "high-quality preschool available to every single child in America." In his push, however, President Obama is promising something he has no plan to deliver.

Liberals never mind, ignoring anything that conflicts with their agenda.  But what's up with conservatives?  Yes, we argue in general terms that justices should take an "originalist" view of the Constitution, but where has that brought us?  To the public, it always gets translated into "ban abortion" or "bring back Jim Crow" or some other worrisome proposition.  "Hang murderers" and "crush crime," popular as those ideas certainly would be, somehow never become part of the discussion.
So while the left relentlessly pursues its objectives, conservatives play defense.  We'll go to the mattresses to defend the Second Amendment, but we have ignored our duty to the Eighth, and everyone pays a price for this.  Crime's victims pay in blood.  Conservative politicians pay on Election Day.
It's been excruciating to watch the Republican Party boot one election after another when the thing that can connect the GOP with so many rank-and-file Democrats is lying there, so obvious for anyone to see.  It isn't just Reagan Democrats who are keen for law and order.  Many among liberalism's special clientele -- poor people, minorities, feminists, gays, unions, the homeless, etc. -- are sick to death of gangs and violence and would love to see that all swept away.

The Progressive hit media are frantically circling the wagons, probably formulating a potent Alinsky Rule # 5 offense against sage Ben Carson.  Just yesterday, Media Matters went into full attack mode.  It appears the leftists were blindsided by the transparency and unassuming integrity of this gifted brain surgeon.  No doubt they are embarrassed by their previous sycophantic accolades heralding his exceptional accomplishments in his chosen field of pediatric neurosurgery.  A case in point may be the acclaim lauded upon Dr. Carson by feminist Christine Gorman in her 2001 piece in Time MagazineSuper Surgeon. How could she have known the subject of her acclaim would challenge the fundamental tenets of her liberalism a dozen years later?
Yet, here he comes daring to defy the unspoken apolitical taboos as keynote speaker at the National Prayer Breakfast in the very hallowed presence of The One We Have Been Wait For by unabashedly exposing the myths of politically correct liberalism with incisive allegories drawn from Scripture and his own intriguing life story.   How dare he!

During a discussion about President Obama’s lack of transparency about the drone program, former White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs explained on MSNBC this morning that he was ordered to never acknowledge the existence of the drone program.
“One of the first things they told me was, you are not even to acknowledge the drone program, you are not even to discuss that it exists,” Gibbs said frankly, explaining why he could never be forthcoming about the issue with White House reporters.
Gibbs added that in his opinion, the Obama administration’s denial of the program “undermines people’s confidence overall in the decisions that their government makes.”

It had all the appearances of a political dirty trick, a high-tech effort by an unknown hacker to sway three key Aug. 14 primary elections, a Miami Herald investigation has found.
The plot failed. The elections department’s software flagged the requests as suspicious. The ballots weren’t sent out.
But who was behind it? And next time, would a more skilled hacker be able to rig an election?
Six months and a grand-jury probe later, there still are few answers about the phantom requests, which targeted Democratic voters in a congressional district and Republican voters in two Florida House districts.

The White House on Sunday detailed how the deep spending cuts set to begin this week would affect programs in every state and the District, as President Obama launched a last-ditch effort to pressure congressional Republicans to compromise on a way to stop theacross-the-board cuts.

"Life has many good things. The problem is that most of these good things can be gotten only by sacrificing other good things. We all recognize this in our daily lives. It is only in politics that this simple, common sense fact is routinely ignored."  Thomas Sowell

Attorney Orly Taitz continues with the demand for the Judiciary Committee to investigate the fact that 5 out 9 Justices of the Supreme Court never saw the case supposedly heard in conference by the Supreme Court and all 9 never saw the supplemental brief filed with SCOTUS, as 5 original sets of briefs were sent back and all supplemental briefs were sent back and never docketed.

An order by the Supreme Court shows a notation after case 12A712 applications denied, which appear to relate to case 12A606, however evidence shows that the case was not heard at all as 5 out of 9 Justices never even got a packet with pleadings.

There are 7 other cases that are proceeding in other courts.

While a part of those cases might be considered moot, such as stays of certifications, the bulk of the cases is not moot, such as Declaratory Relief and RICO (racketeering) cases.

Overwhelming and never refuted evidence shows Barack Obama using a Connecticut Social Security number 042-68-4425, which was never assigned to him according to E-Verify and SSNVS. Sworn affidavit of Chief investigator of special Investigations unit of the U.S. Coast Guard shows Obama using a forged Selective Service Certificate and multiple experts showed the alleged copy of Obama’s birth certificate to be a forgery. In a case in MS, which included the RICO charges, Obama’s personal attorneys submitted a new copy of the birth certificate, which according to experts represents a forgery of a forgery, which was made to minimize the white halo effect around the letters. This white halo effect created by computer manipulation made the initial forgery released on April 27, 2011 a complete joke.

Last Friday I wrote about how the White House had sent a letter to Congress that said that Barack Obama didn’t make one single phone call on the night of September 11, 2012 as the attacks on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi were taking place. Well just how the narrative on Benghazi has changed over and over with this administration, they have changed their story again. Now, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said that Obama Called then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at approximately 10pm EST on the night of the Benghazi attacks.
CNS News reports,
That was more than six hours after the attacks started, more than an hour before Tryone Woods and Glen Doherty were killed–and about the time that Clinton first released a statement linking the attacks to “inflammatory material posted on the Internet,” a reference to an anti-Muslim video on YouTube.
“Like every president before him, he has a national security adviser and deputy national security adviser,” Carney told CNSNews.com on Tuesday. “He was in regular communication with his national security team directly, through them, and spoke with the secretary of state at approximately 10 p.m. He called her to get an update on the situation.”

The U.S. has been denied direct access to the only publicly known suspect in custody in connection with the Benghazi terror attack, Fox News has learned, with U.S. interrogators still unable to sit in the same room as the Egypt-held prisoner to ask questions.
Abu Ahmed, also known as Mohammed Jamal, is suspected of establishing Islamist training camps in Eastern Libya where militants who took part in the Sept. 11 Benghazi terrorist attack were able to train.

The Republican Party has been looking for its "Great Black Hope" since J.C. Watts almost twenty years ago.   There are solid logical reasons why black America ought to reject the slavery of leftism: violent crime, social decay, broken educational systems, and limp economic growth all hurt blacks more than they hurt other Americans.
The black conservative movement has produced some significant spokesmen: Dr. Thomas Sowell may be the greatest social historian alive; Lynn Swan is among the greatest pass receivers in football history; Condi Rice is a brilliant academician with grace notes of musical brilliance; Herman Cain is a successful businessman who could speak clearly about the economic problems of America.
Black leftists, by contrast, tend to be like Obama: they owe everything to leftism and shrivel into insignificance without the artificial environment of the left's hothouse.  These black Americans believe that the successful cannot have achieved anything through merit, because these propped up nabobs have achieved nothing themselves.

A naked political maneuver and a blunt warning to Republicans: Finish that immigration deal in Congress, or I’ll propose something I know you can’t accept — and flog the issue mercilessly next year to win back the House.

President Obama gave a radio interview with Al Sharpton today, and blamed Republicans for the frightening post-sequestration world he described.
“We could see mental health services affected, head start slots taken away… it’s going to have an effect on cutting back on things like meat inspections, or folks at our airpoirts, which means that airport lines may be longer,” Obama said. “Whether or not we can move Republicans to do the right thing is something we’re still trying to gauge.”

Quietly, behind the scenes, the groundwork is being laid for federal government confiscation of tax-deferred retirement accounts such as IRAs. Slowly, the cat is being let out of the bag.
Last January 18th, in a little noticed interview of Richard Cordray, acting head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Bloomberg reported "[t]he U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau [CFPB] is weighing whether it should take on a role in helping Americans manage the $19.4 trillion they have put into retirement savings, a move that would be the agency's first foray into consumer investments."  That thought generates some skepticism, as aptly expressed by the Richard Terrell cartoon  published by American Thinker.
Days later On January 24th President Obama renominated Cordray as CFPB director even though his recess appointment was not due to expire until the end of 2013.

40% Of Americans Now Make Less Than 1968 Minimum Wage
Read what Baker wrote again. The minimum wage would be $16.50 an hour — $33,000 a year — if it had kept up with the growth of productivity since 1968. To put the effect of this a different way, 40% of Americans now make less than the 1968 minimum wage, had the minimum wage kept pace with productivity gains.
To put this even another way, the average American’s living standard would be much, much higher today if wages had not decoupled from productivity gains – with the gains all going to the 1% instead of being shared by We, the People. If wages had kept pace we wouldn’t feel the terrible squeeze that everyone in the middle class is feeling. (Never mind what has happened to those below the middle class.)

General Motors has flooded financial markets with auto-backed securities in an effort to offload its risky subprime loans onto banks, a strategy industry insiders say could produce a bubble.
High production costs and falling profit-per-car have led auto manufacturers to turn to financing to earn higher profits. Automakers have capitalized on lending by not only loaning money to customers but also packaging and selling those loans to investors in a manner similar to the sale of mortgage-backed securities that created the housing bubble.

If the Government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. To declare that in the administration of the criminal law the end justifies the means — to declare that the Government may commit crimes in order to secure the conviction of a private criminal — would bring terrible retribution. — Louis D. Brandeis

Al Jazeera, the cable news network owned by the government of Qatar, has big plans for its American operation despite being criticized by the U.S. government for airing videos from Osama bin Laden.
The U.S. cable news channel, Al Jazeera America, will be editorially separate from the Doha-based broadcast center that is also home to Al Jazeera English.

According to Benghazi:The Definitive Report, the attack on the Benghazi consulate had nothing to do with,as we were told,an amateurish anti-Muslim YouTube video leading to a “protest turned violent,” but was retaliation for John Brennan’s JSOC attacks on the Libya-based terrorist group,Ansar al-Sharia. This was the group that we learned had taken responsibility within two hours of the attack,of which information was emailed directly to the White House Situation Room. After said information was uncovered, the Obama administration denied was true.
It turns out that, per the book, the West, particularly the United States, leading up to the 2011 Libyan civil war had been flooding Libya with literally millions of weapons. After the West—NATO,with Obama at the helm—decided to topple Gaddafi, these millions of weapons then fell into Al-Qaeda and associated groups’ hands. And what Team Obama wasn’t funneling to the Syrian rebels (what Benghazi:The Definitive Report calls an “open secret”)—they wanted to get back from groups such as Ansar al-Sharia. Brennan, throughout North Africa, had been conducting his secret JSOC wars against al-Qaeda and associated groups;and lo and behold, yes,Mr. Brennan, there was retaliation. And that retaliation resulted in the deaths of four Americans at the consulate in Benghazi on the anniversary of 9/11.
The whole Obama Benghazi cover-up was only partially about hiding the illegal funneling of Libyan weapons to Syria and was mainly about the real—but illegal—Commander-in-Chief John Brennan conducting secret wars in Libya—without approval from Congress, without approval from the Pentagon, and hidden even from the CIA,with only a behind-doors approval by Barack Hussein Obama.
How can the “adviser” to Obama—John Brennan—have the authority to make war on any country in the world?
The answer is he doesn’t have the authority.
Brennan should be arrested, not appointed to lead the CIA. And the man who is doing the appointing—Barack Hussein Obama—should be immediately impeached.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is not sure whether the public should be told when the federal government kills an American citizen.
“Maybe. It just depends,” she said in an interview with The Huffington Post this week, when asked whether the administration should acknowledge when it targets a U.S. citizen in a drone strike. http://www.theminorityreportblog.com/2013/02/19/pelosi-not-sure-whether-public-should-be-told-when-the-federal-government-kills-an-american-citizen/

In his State Of The Union address on February 12, President Obama made it clear that action by the federal government on global-warming legislation will be a major priority in his second term. He declared that “for the sake of our children and our future, we must do more to combat climate change.”
The president went on to regurgitate the standard boilerplate claims of the global warming alarmists. He averred:
Now, it’s true that no single event makes a trend. But the fact is the 12 hottest years on record have all come in the last 15. Heat waves, droughts, wildfires, floods — all are now more frequent and more intense. We can choose to believe that Superstorm Sandy, and the most severe drought in decades, and the worst wildfires some states have ever seen were all just a freak coincidence. Or we can choose to believe in the overwhelming judgment of science — and act before it’s too late.
President Obama then threw down the gauntlet to Congress, declaring that if they didn’t act soon to enact federal legislation he would act without them:
But if Congress won’t act soon to protect future generations, I will. I will direct my Cabinet to come up with executive actions we can take, now and in the future, to reduce pollution, prepare our communities for the consequences of climate change, and speed the transition to more sustainable sources of energy.

We have provided the real facts on each of Mr. Obama’s claims many times at The New American, but let’s examine each of them here briefly:

• “The 12 hottest years on record [for the United States] have all come in the last 15” — In his testimony last in August 2012 before a U.S. Senate committee, Dr. John Christy, a climatologist who monitors global surface and satellite temperatures at the University of Alabama and NASA, presented evidence demonstrating that, contrary to claims by the White House and the media, the hottest years on record in the United States were in the 1930s, a verdict that is supported by a wide array of climate scientists. Even the Obama administration’s EPA, one of the foremost AGW alarmist institutions, provides a graph on its website showing that the 1930s were indeed much hotter than our most recent 15 years. And Climate Depot provides links to a host of sources debunking the “hottest year” meme here;

• Droughts — As we have reported previously, the global AGW drought scare is based on the predictions of the flawed computer modeling of the Palmer Drought Severity Index (PDSI). A 2012 study by Princeton University professors Eric Wood and Justin Sheffield published in Nature exposes the serious problems with the PDSI. “We’ve known for quite a long time that the PDSI calculation is prone to problems dealing with climate change,” said Columbia University drought and climate researcher Richard Seager after the Princeton study was published.

WASHINGTON — If President Barack Obama does not deal with entitlement spending in a meaningful way in the next four years, he will not leave behind a successful legacy, , former GOP senator of Wyoming said Tuesday at a breakfast event put on by Politico at the Newseum.
“If he can’t cut the mustard with solvency of Social Security under honest appraisals of the trustees and he can’t get a handle on an automatic pilot rig of health care, he will have a failed presidency,” Simpson said.

mails released by the  show that acting Administrator Bob Perciasepe used a private email account to conduct official business, which violates EPA policy and has raised questions about whether he was trying to shield communications from public disclosure.
The emails show that Perciasepe was using a non-official “perciasepe.org” email account to conduct official business — the second high-ranking to be caught doing so this year.

President Barack Obama’s sequester strategy is all about one word: shame.

With the parties at an impasse on stopping across-the-board budget cuts set to hit March 1, the White House is prepping another multimedia, cross-country drive to stoke public outrage against congressional Republicans.
Certain that the political winds are in their favor, they’re forgoing serious negotiations for a high-risk public offensive, banking almost entirely on the president’s ability to persuade. They believe that the GOP will be scared of taking the blame from an angry public — and the White House says this is just the kind of thing that gave them the victory they claimed in the fiscal cliff fight and the most recent standoff over the debt limit.Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2013/02/obamas-sequestration-strategy-shame-87829.html#ixzz2LROnG7vj

To state the painfully obvious, Washington is not a town filled with much unanimity these days. But on one subject there is common ground: the recognition of America’s vulnerability to and the threat from cyberattacks. The concern is so great that many argue it is only a matter of time until we face a so-called cyber Pearl Harbor. As outgoing Defense Secretary Leon Panetta put it, a sudden, massive cyberattack “would paralyze and shock the nation and create a new, profound sense of vulnerability.”

Panetta is correct to worry about a large-scale cyberattack. Unfortunately, endless realistic potential scenarios abound that mirror the events of Dec. 7, 1941: The nation goes about its business one quiet morning only to have a few well-placed keystrokes cause the lights to go out, the water to turn off and many lives to be lost. Panetta and others are wrong, however, to call it a Pearl Harbor-like event because, simply put, we are already in a cyberwar. As the former chairman of the House Permanent Select Intelligence Committee, I want to emphasize the point that a destructive cyberattack would not be a surprise attack; such attacks are already happening by the thousands every day!

A Milwaukee County Sheriff has warned that a second American Revolution may be sparked if unconstitutional gun laws are enforced by police and sheriff’s department officials.
Sheriff David Clarke recently urged the citizens he serves to consider learning firearm safety because of “a duty to protect yourself and your family.”
In a message posted on the Sheriff’s website, Clarke wrote “I need you in the game, but are you ready? With officers laid-off and furloughed, simply calling 9-1-1 and waiting is no longer your best option. You can beg for mercy from a violent criminal, hide under the bed, or you can fight back; but are you prepared?”
“Consider taking a certified safety course in handling a firearm so you can defend yourself until we get there. You have a duty to protect yourself and your family. We’re partners now. Can I count on you?” the message urged.
Speaking on the Alex Jones Show yesterday, the Sheriff hit home his opinions on the gun control proposals that are being pushed via presidential executive orders.

An Ohio woman is one of 19 people in a single southwestern county who may have heeded the seedy advice to ‘vote early and vote often.’

Melowese Richardson, who lives in Cincinnati, told a local television station that she voted twice because she ‘certainly wanted my vote to count.’

The grandmother is one of 19 people being investigated by Hamilton County over voter fraud in the recent 2012 election.

WASHINGTON — A freewheeling and almost entirely one-sidedargument at the Supreme Court on Tuesday indicated that the justices would not allow Monsanto’s patents for genetically altered soybeans to be threatened by an Indiana farmer who used them without paying the company a fee.
The question in the case, Bowman v. Monsanto Company, No. 11-796, was whether patent rights to seeds and other things that can replicate themselves extend beyond the first generation. The justices appeared alert to the consequences of their eventual ruling not only for Monsanto’s very lucrative soybean patents but also for modern agriculture generally and for areas as varied as vaccines, cell lines and software.

A lawyer for Monsanto, Seth P. Waxman, a former United States solicitor general, was allowed to talk uninterrupted for long stretches, which is usually a sign of impending victory.

“Without the ability to limit reproduction of soybeans containing this patented trait,” he said, “Monsanto could not have commercialized its invention and never would have produced what is, by now, the most popular agricultural technology in America.”
