President Obama could get 3 terms if H.J.Res 15 abolishes term limits
Americans around the nation were shocked Friday as they heard about H.J.Res. 15. H.J.Res 15 proposes an amendment to the Constitution of the United States to repeal the Twenty-second Amendment.
This would remove the limitation on the number of terms an individual may serve as President.Rep. José Serrano (D- NY15) introduced the controversial joint resolution on Friday, the second day of the 2013 legislative session.
The last President to serve more than two terms was Franklin D. Roosevelt. Roosevelt served three full terms as President and was elected to a fourth term. Roosevelt died 83 days into his fourth term in office. Congress passed the Twenty-second Amendment on March 21, 1947. The required number of states ratified it in 1951. Barack Obama caused quite a stir with his executive order that ended the freeze on wages for
Congress and federal workers, giving them what amounted to an $11 billion pay
raise. Among those getting more green was Vice President Joe Biden.
On
Tuesday evening, the U.S. House of Representatives approved legislation that
blocked the pay raise. The Hill reports,
The
House approved legislation on Tuesday that would block a pay increase for
federal workers and members of Congress scheduled to take place in March.
Members
voted 287-129 in favor of the bill from Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick (R-Pa.). Just two
Republicans opposed the legislation, and 55 Democrats supported it.
Republicans
brought the bill up under a suspension of the rules in order to allow for
quicker consideration, although that move also required a two-thirds majority
vote.
The
bill is a response to an executive order last Friday from President Obama that
would end the two-year federal worker pay freeze, and increase congressional
pay by about $1,000 for each member of the House and Senate.

But, Mr. President, we have a very serious spending problem.” Obama eventually replied, “I’m getting tired of hearing you say that.”

The National Labor Relations Board unleashed a raft of precedent-busting, pro-union decisions soon after President Barack Obama’s reelection in November.The board’s three Democratic appointees issued rulings that weakened checks on union power, including two high-profile decisions forcing employers to automatically deduct union dues from worker paychecks when contract agreements expire and limiting the ability of employees to exercise their Beck rights.

Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee ranking member Lisa Murkowski is drawing up legislation to expand revenue sharing with states to cover fossil fuels and renewable-energy sources that lie offshore and on federal land.Murkowski’s plan would grant new states that house wind, oil, natural gas and other energy production off their coastlines an automatic revenue share of 27.5 percent with another 10 percent available if those funds are directed to research and development, alternative energy, efficiency and conservation.

Detroiter Rachelle Guyton said she called 911 around 6:30 a.m. Saturday to report that her 2003 Chrysler Town & Country minivan had been stolen from an apartment building in Palmer Park — but it wasn’t the van she was worried about.

Dana Safety Supply, a major distributor of weapons and
accessories to police departments and civilians across the United States, has
declared that they will no longer sell semi-automatic rifles to civilians.
Instead, they will only sell to law enforcement. This prompted Oconee County,
Georgia Sheriff Scott Barry to write them an email in which he told them he
would no longer be seeking them out to purchase products for his department
based on their decision.
Sirs,
It is my understanding that you have stopped selling self
loading rifles to members of the general public in favor of selling them to law
enforcement officers only.
I deeply regret that decision. As such, this agency will
no longer seek bids from or purchase from DSS.

A New Hampshire legislator wants her constituents to know
that she feels conservatives are the "single biggest threat" her
state faces today, and she wants to use her powers to legislate to "pass
measures that will restrict" the freedoms of Granite State conservatives.

A survey by the International Franchise Association finds that 31% of franchisees say they plan to cut staff to duck under Obamacare’s 50-employer mandate. And another study byMercer consulting firm found that half of businesses who don’t presently offer health insurance plan to reduce employee hours to avert triggering Obamacare’s penalties.
As Breitbart News has reported, Pennsylvania Community College of Allegheny County has already slashed the hours of 400 adjunct instructors, support staff, and part-time teachers to sidestep the Obamacare fines. Doing so will save the already cash-strapped college an estimated $6 million.
