Can Islam reform?

So far the United States and our "allies" have failed dismally to stand up for our values. We keep surrendering to barbarians, a sure formula for civilizational defeat. It is abject cowardice, and there's no excuse. None.
The answer to the election of 2012 is not to retreat from our principles, but to redouble our efforts, work smarter and harder, do retail politics -- everything is local -- and never, never, never, never give in. Churchill had it right. Persistence wins the day.
If we surrender to sly media infiltration and open sabotage, we will keep being bamboozled by the Obamas of this world, and civilization will die.
It's happened before.
Dark Ages happen throughout human history, and they always come from a tyrannical media priesthood. This is an old, old struggle. Reagan said that civilization has to be reborn in every generation. He was right.

During the campaign for Obamacare, President Obama pledged repeatedly that his health care scheme would not touch the vast majority of Americans who are satisfied with their coverage. "No matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise to the American people," Obama said in June 2009. "If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you'll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what."
If anyone believed that then, they probably don't believe it now. In practice, Obamacare will mean the loss of employer-based health insurance for many people; big increases in premiums for others; changes on the job for still others; and a bureaucratic nightmare for many more. Add to that the involvement of the Internal Revenue Service, which will act as Obamacare's enforcer -- all Americans will have to prove to the IRS that they have "qualified" coverage -- and it's likely Obamacare will have a rocky and unpopular start.

They won the campaign handily and even had $14.2 million to spare, but the Obama-Biden campaign is still raising money, this time off the president's comments about the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Connecticut

The influence industry scored several hard-fought victories in a year in which lawmakers were more focused on campaigning than legislating.
Though the winners and losers in the lobbying battle over the “fiscal cliff” are not yet known, a number of companies, trade groups and lobbyists already have a signature triumph to call their own in 2012.

The U.N. Wants to Tax Us, Too
While President Obama and Speaker John Boehner are wrestling with whether or not they will agree to raise taxes, United Nations delegates partying in Doha, Qatar are planning to impose a new kind of tax on Americans. U.N. conferees have been discussing how they can start a global tax that would hit Americans hard.
Their vehicle for this travesty is the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The U.N. convention delegates dream they can transform the economic structure of the world by a new global treaty using global warming fears (even though the globe has not warmed for the past 16 years).

Murders in the city of Chicago, Illinois, are up over last year and could hit 500 by the end of this year. That´s 41 a month, and you don´t need me to tell you that almost all of those homicides were caused by a bad guy holding a firearm. But where´s the media to wring their hands over this gun violence? Where´s the 24/7 news coverage, presidential addresses, and push for answers? When people talk about our country becoming "desensitized" to violence, most of the time that´s a discussion about films and video games.
Don’t misunderstand, I'm not in any way making an equivalence argument comparing the murder rate in Chicago with what happened at Sandy Hook Elementary last Friday morning. There's no question that horrific event and the age of the victims is something that stands alone, even when compared to other mass shootings of this kind.
But I am talking about a tragic loss of human life happening at an alarming rate in the Windy City, and the media's unwillingness to declare 41 murders a month worthy of a national discussion, much less a national crisis.

It is rather sad to see Washington parroting the propaganda of the European Commission. It should know better. After all, the polls are very clear. The British public is moving in only one direction – towards support for a British exit from the EU and complete national sovereignty in Europe. Barack Obama is standing on the wrong side of history on this issue, and is hugely out of touch with British public opinion

Mass immigration isn’t the only cause of the deep employment problems of less-skilled black workers. It’s not even the main cause. But it’s the easiest one to remedy. And the unwillingness to embrace cuts in legal immigration and the tightening of enforcement by those wringing their hands about the plight of black men confirms my observation of a few years back that,
open immigration has become an immutable value of the Left. There is no policy the liberal establishment won’t abandon, no election it won’t forfeit, no constituency it won’t sacrifice to ensure the survival and success of open borders.

Poet Carl Sandburg supposedly was asked by a young playwright to attend a rehearsal. Sandburg did but fell asleep. The playwright exclaimed, "How could you sleep when you knew I wanted your opinion?" Sandburg replied, "Sleep is an opinion."
So is nonvoting. Remember this as the Obama administration mounts a drive to federalize voter registration, a step toward making voting mandatory.
Attorney General Eric Holder considers it self-evidently alarming that 60 million adult citizens were not registered in 2008. He wants Washington to register everyone automatically. "The arc of American history," he says, "has bent toward expanding the franchise."

Hagel’s expected nomination was supposed to give the Obama Cabinet a boost of bipartisanship — adding a Republican and decorated war veteran with two Purple Hearts serving in Vietnam. And there was hope that the White House could avoid a nasty confirmation battle because senators are typically quick to bless one of their own.Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2012/12/gop-critics-line-up-against-hagel-85278.html#ixzz2FV5uE0AC

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is supporting a bid by General Electric to export jobs and nuclear technology to China by seeking assurances from Beijing that it will not steal or transfer valuable reactor technology, the Free Beacon has learned.
Clinton’s support for a future deal with GE-Hitachi Nuclear Energy, a Wilmington, N.C., company, to make reactor vessels in China for a nuclear plant it hopes to build in India was disclosed in a cable sent Nov. 21 to the United States Embassy in Beijing.
China was a major supplier of nuclear weapons technology to Pakistan, providing Islamabad with both warhead design and nuclear material production technology and equipment.
U.S. intelligence reports from earlier this year revealed that China is covertly helping Pakistan modernize its nuclear facilities and nuclear weapons, including the design of a new warhead.
