Getting the house in order

The moment Obama shook hands with the rapper who sang 'kill those f****** Yankees': Outrage as Gangnam sensation Psy performs for President at charity concert
'Do you remember when truly talented Americans entertained at WH? Now it's the "Hate America First" trash- and Commies like Psy,' Examiner.com columnist Harriet Baldwin tweeted.

(this is an interesting read with regards to the above posted.  The article is from 2010)
President Obama hasn't had rappers, hip-hop artists in White House Music Series\

Or maybe invite hip-hop royalty. Twenty years ago, Chuck D of Public Enemy was one of American music's hottest lightning rods. Today, he divides his stage time between rapping and giving lectures. He spoke on a panel at Washington's Duke Ellington School of the Arts in February. Did he think the POTUS was overdue in recognizing hip-hop?

"The Obama administration has other things to worry about," he said. "They have to worry about the constituency of the United States of America, and I think the president is wise enough to understand that there are major issues at hand."  http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2010/04/23/AR2010042300046.htm

Extreme weather & superstition
Superstorm Sandy. Parching drought across North America. A scorching midsummer heat wave in the Midwest. All these weather extremes are telltale signs that CO2 causes climate change, according to global warmists. Indeed, the global climate-change nomenklatura gathered last week in Doha, Qatar eagerly (if grimly) cited Typhoon Bopha, which had just wreaked carnage in the Philippines, as the latest proof. But it’s not. The link between extreme weather and global warming has as much scientific basis as the pagan rite of human sacrifice to ensure a good harvest. (snip) Our obsession with weather extremes has reached such heights that it has become a knee-jerk reaction for climate-change alarmists to ascribe any unusual weather event at all to global warming. So they tell us that heat waves, floods, harsh winters, dust storms — even wildfires — are all the result of man-made CO2. But a check of records from, say, the 1930s or the 1950s, when the CO2 level was much lower than now, reveals that such events are nothing new.

Why Rivers No Longer Burn

Protecting our nation’s waters may seem like common sense today, but the idea of nationally uniform, tough standards against polluters was both original and radical. Thinking big, the Clean Water Act’s preamble declared that the nation’s waters would be swimmable and fishable within a decade, with no discharges of pollutants within a dozen years. These weren’t idle boasts.

The Great Secession
Would it really be the highest form of patriotism?
With secession "that gravy train would cease to exist," noted Cesca. He went on to suggest that everyone in America would be helpless if they weren't collecting federal goodies and looting everyone else, which is nonsense -- pervasive subsidies and bail-outs make Americans weaker, not stronger. But some people currently demanding their freedom might not be quite so enthused about freeing themselves if they knew that meant they would be on their own financially.
Secession isn't likely to prove a practical answer. Instead of breaking up the United States of America, people should focus on devolving authority to states, localities, families, and individuals. Rediscovering federalism is should become the new mantra in Washington. http://spectator.org/archives/2012/12/10/the-great-secession
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Americans believe public workers better paid and more secure (Bingo!)

"The federal workforce has become an elite island of secure and high-paid workers, separated from the ocean of average American workers competing in the global economy," according to a report this year by the Cato Institute.
That report found the average civilian federal government worker collected just under $84,000 a year in taxpayer money, about $32,000 more than the average private sector worker. That's a total federal worker package of about $236 billion a year. (snip)The latest IRS report said, for instance, that 36 of Obama's White House aides had $833,000 in unpaid back taxes.

JW UNCOVERS TAXPAYER COST FOR MALIA OBAMA'S SPRING BREAK TRIP TO MEXICO

I think we can all agree that in these economic times, with huge public debt and high unemployment, spending $115,000 in taxpayer funds on a Spring Break trip to Mexico is inappropriate. Is this what Americans are being asked to pay higher taxes for?
This is far from the first time the Obamas have taken advantage of the American taxpayer to enjoy expensive vacations.

Under Obama, Economic Stagnation Is the New Normal
Friday's "Employment Situation" report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) showed that 5.4 million Americans have dropped out of the labor force since Barack Obama took office. The labor force declined by 350,000 in November, despite an increase of 191,000 in our working age population.

In case anyone didn't notice, the BLS jobs report was terrible. Unemployment didn't go down in November (from 7.9% to 7.7%) as the BLS reported, it actually went up. The true unemployment rate, calculated at the labor force participation rate that existed when Bush 43 left office (65.8%), increased from 10.7% to 10.8%. This put the true unemployment rate 1.3 percentage points higher than when Obama's so-called "economic recovery" began, almost 3.5 years ago.
As of November 2012, total employment was still 3.2 million below its peak, which occurred five years earlier. This is particularly ghastly, because America's working age population has increased by 11.2 million since then. Less than 1% of incremental working-age Americans have managed to get jobs since Obama took office.

MSNBC Is President Obama´s Pravda

The lovefest between Obama and MSNBC toadies Lawrence O'Donnell, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz and Al Sharpton actually took place on Dec. 4.
A White House spokesperson confirmed the president met with them and other "influential progressives" to discuss the "importance of extending the Bush middle-class tax cut" — not to mention mau-mauing Republicans against "tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires."

The GOP's immigration jam
Think Republicans feel in a jam about raising taxes? Wait until President Barack Obama springs comprehensive immigration reform on them early next year.
With Obama making plain his plans to push immigration soon, leading establishment Republicans — fresh off Mitt Romney getting his clocked cleaned by 44 percentage points among Hispanics last month — insist they are now very much open to a comprehensive package, including eventual citizenship for illegal immigrants

  1. This is a good looking website, full of interesting information. Congratulations!

Is the article on climate change actually saying that the Earth has changed its climate before man made automobiles and exhaled too much? Imagine that! I wonder what caused it all the other times? You mean that we are not powerful enough to fool Mother Nature?
